LPGA attended the National Propane Gas Association in Washington D.C. last week.
We met with some of the nation’s top propane associations from all over the country in roundtable discussions, large group debriefs, and workshops led by industry experts.
Tucker Perkins and Steve Kaminski opened the summit by sharing the state of both PERC and NPGA. The group broke out into roundtable discussions, sharing the successes and challenges on a variety of topics such as non-dues revenue, government impact, energy competition, and membership engagement and benefits.
State executives shared ideas on all these topics to learn from each other and expand propane’s reach in each state and nationally.
The workshops and panels aimed to do the same, as speakers informed about available funding opportunities, strategic industry planning, the state’s role in commercialization and safety training and incident prevention, much of which is available on PERC’s website.
Randy Hayden and Steve Ahrens were recognized for their extensive time in this business as they retired themselves from this business. Thank you Randy and Steve for your continued dedication to the industry and your states. Time for some well-deserved rest!
The State Leadership Summit was pertinent for states to come together, understand each other’s successes and concerns and make connections in order to benefit the propane industry as a whole and keep us kicking in the energy sector.
